Slack Operations/Project Coordinator for an Ecommerce Company [420]

Job Description

About the Company

CGK Linens is a fast-growing, fully remote eCommerce company specializing in high-quality home linens. As a startup, we move quickly, prioritize clarity over bureaucracy, and value execution above all else. Our culture is built around ownership, communication, and a deep respect for focused, intentional work. You’ll be joining a tight-knit team that believes in reducing chaos through process and supporting each other in doing our best work.

About the Role

We’re looking for a highly organized Slack Operations Coordinator who lives in Slack and naturally keeps things moving. In this role, you’ll help the team stay aligned, responsive, and on track – using Slack as the main tool for communication and execution. You’ll work closely with the CEO and leadership team to support follow-ups, bring clarity, and ensure nothing slips through the cracks.

This role is a Full-Time remote position.

Eligibility

We are looking for a Slack Operations Coordinator, specifically with these requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal English communication.
  • Confident working with executives and senior leaders.
  • Experience in roles like Project Coordinator, Project Manager, or Ops/Comms Manager.
  • Hands-on experience using Slack daily (channels, follow-ups, coordination).
  • Familiarity with Asana or similar project management tools.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple threads.
  • Comfortable following up and reminding others when needed.
  • Proactive and reliable – you help keep things moving.
  • Strong sense of ownership and integrity.
  • Naturally notice when things are unclear or slipping through the cracks.
  • Value clear, open communication and team visibility.
  • Able to process information quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Slack for unanswered questions, unclear ownership, or stalled conversations.
  • Follow up on behalf of the CEO and leadership to keep things moving.
  • Keep key communication in public channels for visibility and accountability.
  • Track response times and identify delays or bottlenecks.
  • Share regular updates with leadership on communication and execution gaps.
  • Manage Asana tasks – ensuring clear ownership, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Follow up on overdue or blocked tasks; escalate when needed.
  • Turn conversations into clear next steps and actionable tasks.
  • Support prioritization and workflow clarity.
  • Suggest process improvements to reduce noise and increase efficiency.
  • Help strengthen Slack as a tool for structured execution.
  • Support a culture of clarity, accountability, and progress.

Growth Opportunities/Perks

  • Work closely with the CEO and executive team, with real impact on daily operations.
  • Play a key role in shaping how the company runs as we scale.
  • Chance to grow into a senior operations or chief of staff-type role over time.
  • High visibility across all departments. You’ll be the go-to for execution follow-through.
  • Fully remote role with flexibility once you’re up to speed.
  • Clear path to long-term stability if aligned on values and performance.
  • Work in a direct, no-drama environment that values clarity, ownership, and results.

You’re not a fit for this role if...

❌ You prefer more strategic or high-level project management work.

❌ You’re not comfortable following up or nudging others.

❌ You don’t enjoy working in Slack as a core part of your day.

❌ You prefer to stay in the background rather than help move things forward.

❌ You don’t do daily Slack & Asana execution (channels, follow-ups, action items).

❌ You have difficulty tracking details or multiple threads.

❌ You’re more comfortable with private communication than transparent, team-wide visibility.

Benefits

Our hiring process is made up of four parts, so please be aware that you will need to dedicate time for a questionnaire, a video, and two 1-on-1 interviews.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this position. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
