Who are we looking for?

Working within our established PMO team within the Service Delivery Department, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of multiple projects from design through to successful completion of project deliverables and handover to the support team.

The Senior Project manager will work with the nominated Customer Delivery Team, consisting of the Customer Delivery Team Manager, Project Lead, Technical Lead, consultants, and developers to play a key role in ensuring projects meet critical success factors and are delivered on time, in scope and within budget.

What will you be doing?

Customer Delivery Team / Programme Management

* Participate in and show leadership as part of a Customer Delivery Team along with Customer Delivery Team Manager and Capabilities Manager
* Manage a portfolio of customers with ongoing programmes of work and delivery according to competing priorities and changing deadlines.

Project Management / Project Delivery

* Manage all services and delivery related work for nominated customers. This will involve the coordination of Internal resources and third parties / contractors for the execution and delivery of all approved work.
* Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget to identified business objectives.
* Initiate, plan, monitor and control, deploy and handover / close all projects according to the ProStrategy end to end process for delivery.
* Develop project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
* Develop a detailed project plan and track and report on progress to customers and internal management.
* Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
* Identify, analyse and prepare risk mitigation tactics, working with project teams and sponsor to monitor and escalate risks where necessary.

Required Skills/Experiences:

* Minimum of 5 years working as a Project Manager
* Proven work experience as a Project or Programme Manager in commercial environment.
* Knowledge of project management processes, such as Scrum and Agile.
* Good technical understanding, preferably within ERP, CRM.
* Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
* Experience in leading large projects with high values and high risk.

Qualifications

* Project management certification is essential (PMP/Prince2)
* Agile qualification is preferred.
* Degree is preferred.
* Membership of PMI will be maintained as part of this role.
