Senior Project Manager – Dublin (flexible working)

This role is in the Property / Construction sector.

This role offers a clear demonstrable progression path for the successful candidate.

The role based in a central Dublin location, with flexible working offered is a unique opportunity to work on projects with a mixed portfolio of clients across what I would describe as being insulated from general market volatilities.

The client portfolio includes a good mix of Corporate and Public Sector / Semi State bodies.

Our client is an established Project Management consultancy that operate below the radar, and they have a project portfolio spread right across Ireland and also a number of European locations.

This role will be working along side one of the company principals which will allow time for the successful applicant to get to know the client portfolio, how they operate, how each client measures success and who the key players and decision makers are within each organisation.

Candidate Specification:

* Confident and articulate, with strong client facing and presentation skills.
* Be Degree qualified in a Construction related discipline and ideally have achieved Chartered status or be working towards Chartership.
* Be a natural leader, with the skills and experience to motivate and influence multi discipline design and construction teams.
* Have a detailed knowledge of modern and best practice construction methodologies.
* Contractually strong with a clear understanding of current construction legislative requirements.
* Strong IT skills across the Microsoft suite and ideally with some knowledge of BIM, AutoCAD and planning software.

Role Responsibilities:

* Act as Client representative on the long-term delivery of their development plan across a few projects.
* Development of and agreeing project programmes with all stakeholders, external consultants, statutory bodies, and construction teams.
* Lead the selection and procurement of Design and Construction teams.
* Stakeholder management including keeping them aware of their responsibilities throughout each project.
* Management of planning process and planning compliance of all projects.
* Interface with project funders as required on behalf of the client.
* Management and coordination of statutory utility providers for new development works.
* Chair design team and construction phase progress meetings.
* Report on and own responsibility for project programmes and budgets.

The salary level is open to negotiation – in the €70,000 to €90,000 region plus benefits package including pension and bonus.

This hire is key to developing this particular service like of the company and our client is open on the level they make this appointment at. A “rising star” with less experience will be considered if they bring the right experience, work ethic and ambition however this would be reflected in the salary offered as it will involve far grater input from the directors to get this person up to speed.
