Summary

Leap29 are partnered with a leading renewable energy fund investor and manager of projects throughout Europe focusing on onshore wind, solar, battery/storage projects as well as emerging renewable technologies. Our client acquires, develops, constructs, and operates renewable energy assets across Europe, with a significant portfolio of wind, solar and BESS assets under management, with ambition to further diversify and expand.

We are seeking a Senior Asset Manager to join our client’s dynamic team. The candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s assets in the Nordics, which currently consists of 5 wind farms. It is anticipated that this Nordic portfolio will grow in terms of size and technology mix in the coming years. The Senior Asset Manager will be a dynamic individual and will provide experience and leadership across the full portfolio.

The Senior Asset Manager will also be responsible for safety, budgeting, coordination, and control of the assigned operational assets. The Senior Asset Manager will also be involved in the investment process assisting with due diligence and projecting financing as required.

Objectives

* Management, analysis and communication of the commercial performance of operational assets.
* Set-up and standardise processes for the management and optimisation of assets procured by the company during their operational life.
* Identify risks and opportunities in relation to the economic and commercial drivers of the company’s investments and implement solutions to mitigate risks, improve returns and create value.
* Manage all commercial contracts associated with the assets including Asset Management Services, PPA, O&M, lease agreements and monitor performance of these contracts in order to maximise value.
* In conjunction with the Asset Management team, develop Asset Management systems, reporting, including procurement and implementation of IT systems.
* Ensure the installation of robust, reliable communications infrastructure on all sites to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
* Manage the negotiation of project contracts (OEM, Asset Management Services, 3rd Party O&M, PPA etc).
* Act as a company point of contact for community and stakeholders across a number of assets.
* Project performance monitoring and reliability analysis
* Monitor Grid code Updates, to ensure continued compliance
* Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly performance report summaries for the fleet.
* Assist with due diligence projects, to assess suitability for procurement.
* Assist Investment and Finance teams in the Project Finance Financial Close process for projects as required.
* Collaboration with Program managers and Investment Managers as required, to ensure joint accountability and smooth transition of assets from construction/acquisition to operational phase.

Key Tasks / Duties

* Commercial and technical management of operational assets with a particular focus on risks and opportunities
* Assist in due diligence to identify and procure assets for the company’s portfolio.
* Provide detailed analysis of the performance of the assets under management utilising multiple data sources and communicating project performance to key internal and external stakeholders
* Ensure maximum contractor performance through the development of contractor KPIs and contractor management processes.
* Ensure the provision of all necessary data, contracts and consents information to third party contracted asset management companies to allow them to manage projects on behalf of the company.
* Assisting in the financing of projects
* Liaise with Landowners, Stakeholders as necessary, as a company representative.
