Investment Oversight Analyst

Insight Investment is looking for an Investment Oversight Analyst to join the team in Dublin. The Investment Oversight Analyst will work within the Insight Europe Investment Management Oversight team and alongside the investment teams in London and the US.

The Investment Oversight Analyst will work closely with the Investment Director to successfully deliver high-quality analysis and implementation of Insight Europe oversight processes.

The Analyst will develop a broad range of capabilities across asset classes as well as a deep understanding of investment processes and portfolio management considerations.

Success in the role will require an ability to communicate effectively and develop and manage relationships with colleagues across the organisation as well as a motivation to progress projects independently when required.

This role will focus on conducting oversight activities of investment processes associated with portfolios across asset classes and otherwise will support the investment team through participation in regulatory and project initiatives.

Role Responsibilities

* As part of Insight Europe’s Investment Oversight Team work closely with investment teams to ensure effective oversight of investment processes including consistent application across investment desks
* Help further develop (and on an ongoing basis update) processes that supports the framework for the Designated Person for Investment Management in line with the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fund Management Company Guidance (CP86)
* Deliver qualitative and quantitative investment analysis
* Periodically review the performance and attribution of funds and mandates against their respective investment guidelines and risk management parameters
* Support internal teams through sharing of relevant investment information and establish relationships throughout our company
* Keep up to date with relevant industry trends to provide thought leadership internally to key stakeholders
* Co-ordinate investment due diligence reviews investment management activities as well as undertaking ongoing investment analysis of funds and segregated portfolios
* Participate in projects with other internal teams over time
* Contribute to Insight Europe’s strategic projects and initiatives

Experience Required

* Degree educated in a related field
* 1-2 years' work experience
* A genuine enthusiasm for investment management and a desire to build a career in this space
* Strong passion for investment markets, data and technology
* Excellent analytical skills
* Programming language skills such as Python and SQL preferable but not a requirement
* Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau are preferable
* Strong communication and presentation skills particularly stakeholder management
* Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and evolve role requirements over time
* Solid attention to detail and high degree of proven decision-making and problem-solving skills
