Global Procurement Director Real Estate, Construction and Asset Management
SUMMARY:
* In this key role the Procurement Director will be responsible for establishing and developing a Global Procurement Function spanning Real Estate, Construction and Asset Management.
* This will include establishing a team of direct reports in the US and Europe and oversee potential BPO partners.
* Over the next 5 years Circle K’s aim is to build 500 new stations, in addition to remodeling a number of sites within their portfolio of 14,000 with an annual spend of circa 1 billion USD CAPEX and includes office facilities, fuel terminals and fleet.
* This position includes all phases of procurement for these categories in the US and Europe.
* Key to success is being able to establish and foster relationships with key internal stakeholders and drive change across categories.
* You will develop relationships with primary vendor partners and leverage regional best-practice nationally across the regions in North America and Europe.
* You will be developing, overseeing, and facilitating the purchasing strategy, supervising teams in purchasing, operations and logistics for the functional area and category.
* Your team's efforts will support company goals - focusing on personal accountability, customer service and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES - You will : -
* Negotiate large scale complex supply, and non‐retail contracts.
* Deliver additional procurement synergies for the company network, derived primarily from standardising efforts, exploiting unleveraged scale opportunities, consolidating vendor partners, challenging current business models and technologies.
* Provide strategic and tactical category guidance on key categories based on marked trends, internal and external best practices, and company performance objectives.
* Establish cross‐functional teams to diagnose, quantify and address regional, national‐level opportunities and alternative revenue sources.
* Unite the company’s autonomous business units around common value‐enhancing principles, new programs and offerings, and relevant macro‐level opportunities.
* Be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective, efficient communications with senior management.
* Lead the effort to scale up successful regional programs to multinational and global level status.
* Support the establishment of benchmarks, performance markers and objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master’s degree in Business, Economics etc.
* Bring a minimum of 10 years of procurement, commercial, and contract management experience.
* Have senior leadership experience in real estate, construction, and facilities management and maintenance - preferably from the retail industry
* Have a documented track record of unlocking large scale commercial value within real estate, construction, and maintenance.

* Advanced on MS Office alongside Ariba, or similar.
* Self-driven personality with the drive and track record of ensuring execution.
* Willing to work outside of traditional working hours, due to global time-zones and embrace extensive travel required.
