Engineering Project Manager – Manufacturing

Job Description

This role responsible for installation of new mechanical plant, electrical infrastructure, equipment, refurbishment of existing facilities and implementation of new strategic projects.

You will lead key Programs & Projects, deliver and complete engineering works, continuous improvements and projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Take ownership of the planning, safe execution, and delivery of projects onsite.
* Working with all stakeholders on site to ensure effective delivery with little interruption to operations.
* Identifying and resourcing external contractors capable of delivering complex capital projects.
* Overseeing all aspects of ongoing projects, including inspections of works and delivery within budget.
* Participating in annual project forecasting meetings and participate in the ongoing development of the capital improvement plan for the site.
* Closely manage the departmental budget and capital projects budget - driving cost out and increasing effectiveness.
* Report on a weekly bases the top line of each project/works and if on target re timeline and budget
* Ensure the function conforms to Statutory, Legislative and Regulatory requirements for GMP, EHS & Quality.
* Provision of clearly defined roles & responsibilities and annual goals & objectives for direct reports.
* Demonstrates effective change leadership.

Skill set & Qualifications:

* Have 5+ years managerial experience
* Trade or Degree Qualified in an Electrical Discipline.
* Have a clear understanding of the typical project life cycle from concept through to handover and have proven experience in this area.
* Be detail focused - each capital spend in the facility needs to work seamlessly post-delivery, meaning a detail focused approach is crucial during the planning and execution phase.
* Have outstanding people management and interpersonal skills.
* Have knowledge of Design Verification and Process Validations, particularly as it pertains to equipment and manufacturing processes.
* Be familiar lean and operational excellence principles.
