Due to continued growth, Fastway is seeking an experienced Depot Manager to lead our dedicated team, in our Cork Depot. Key Responsibilities:

* Manage all warehouse resources to always ensure adequate availability to facilitate the effective running of the warehouse to the highest standard, ensuring process compliance, maximum efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
* Meet objectives set out in Personal Performance Plan.
* Coordinate all warehouse shift activities (days, evenings, nights) to achieve all targets and KPIs. Report daily to Regional Director on depot and courier KPIs.
* Ensure effective cost control.
* Assist in identifying training and development needs of staff in line with business objectives.
* Manage the warehouse team and Couriers (Contractors, Franchisees and other) to deliver a best-in-class On-Time delivery service to our customers.
* Ensure effective communication within the operational teams and implement practices which will ensure the engagement of employees in line with the company values.
* Maintain a working environment in line with legislation to include Health & Safety & Quality Assurance.
* Manage and lead the team to ensure that they have the skill sets, resources and support needed to deliver in their role and achieve the SMART objectives you have set them, and that they operate in a manner consistent with the ethos and values of the organisation.
* Monitor operations systems to ensure that the Delivery performance, warehouse processes and integrity are always maintained.
* Be responsible for the cleanliness of the warehouse and ensure vehicles keep to effective warehouse times.
* Maintain accurate vehicle records and report daily in line with process.
* Ensure all routes are van audited in the morning and de-briefed at the end of the working day.
* Maintain a positive culture and energise staff, with a sense of pride in their work. Key is to communicate with staff and lead by example.

Required Experience:

* Have a commercially acceptable level of English (spoken and written)
* Proficient on computers (Excel, Email, Reporting platforms, CRM systems)
* Previous Managerial experience (3 years +)
* Excellent timekeeping.
* Safety Awareness.
* Knowledge of Irish geography and specifically depot coverage areas.
* Problem solving and people management experience.
* Previous logistics experience is a distinct advantage.
